The Religion Department is proud of our alumns - for more than seventy years ENMU Religion graduates have gone on to make a difference in the world and to become leaders, ministers, and successful members of religious and secular professions.
Our own Fr. McGowan started his academic career at ENMU, and is now one of the faculty at ENMU and the Senior Pastor of St. Helen's Roman Catholic Church in Portales.

Special Events
Eastern is celebrating its 75-year Anniversary this year.
As part of the celebration, Dr. Glenn McCoy and the Baptist Student Union have organized a reception on Saturday evening October 3 from 6-8pm.
This will be a come and go affair so that interested visitors won't be tied down for the entire two hours.
It will be printed in the official Homecoming program.
We hope to have some faculty return who taught here in prior years.
The reception is for current and former students and other interested persons.
You can help by informing any of your class-mates who may not have heard.
This can be an exciting time for all of us
because Eastern is putting so much money and effort into the 75th celebration.
It will be a homecoming unlike any in recent memory.
It can also be a great time for students and faculty to show what a super Department we have, and how great it is to have a State University with a full Religion Department.
